OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS

Updated passport, with or without visa, according to each case. Contact your nearest embassy or consulate. Visitors coming from non bordering countries are free from all taxes over new articles valued at no more than U$S 300 and an additional U$S 300 if they were purchased in legally authorized free shops in Argentina’s National Territory.

No vaccine certifications are required when entering the country, except for cholera and yellow fever, if passengers come from the countries where these diseases are endemic.

CURRENCY

Argentina’s currency is peso ($). Until January 2002, one peso was equivalent to one American dollar and that value was fixed by the Convertibility Law. From then on, this Law was derogated and the peso started to fluctuate in the market and so its current price varies daily.

This new economic situation, which included a currency’s noticeably devaluation, turns the country into an attractive destination not only because of its natural beauties but also for its truly affordable prices to the foreign tourist.
